PROJECT MANAGER/REGIONAL PRACTICE LEAD

ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an individual that has a unique combination of skills - senior project manager, entrepreneur and business development for an immediate opportunity in the Western US.

The ideal candidate is a project manager who has been deeply involved in solution delivery to numerous organizations/industries for a minimum of ten years. The candidate is a well-known respected IT professional, entrepreneurial in character, can sell ideas, and has a sound reputation for delivering quality solutions. The person is continually sought after for their skills and leadership capabilities. The position is primarily delivery focused at client sites - with time allocated toward business development and growing ARC’s US office.

This role will be supported by ARC’s 20+ years in business, strong methods and practices, including its mobile products and proudly holds dear, an A-class reference list of customers throughout Canada and the USA. This role will report directly to ARC’s US Managing Director.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Held positions such as: program/project management. Will also consider management consultant
  • Minimum 10 years working as a Project Manager
  • Involved in the delivery of multi-million dollar solutions
  • A minimum of 10 years delivering solutions in the Western US
  • University Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science) from a recognized institution
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in both IT systems and OT systems
  • Strong communication skills with a record of workshop facilitation, and public speaking engagements
  • Experience and comfortable working with/reporting to C-level and executive management
  • Ability to recruit and lead your team of consultants (at all levels and roles) to support and grow the US Offices
  • Ability to develop strategic and tactical plans for the sector
  • Ability to develop, execute and report against sector marketing plans
  • Comfortable setting up sales calls and delivering presentations
  • Works with the US Managing Director in practice planning and providing regular updates
  • Active with industry associations and stays ahead of industry trends
  • Participates in sales activities including: customer sales meetings, product demonstrations, presentations outlining ARC’s expertise around the product, product direction, project approaches/delivery
  • Assist in strategizing and constructing responses/proposals for new work
  • Providing input and feedback for new business initiatives, along with the internal technical support required to support such initiatives
  • Charts strategic and tactical paths to further grow ARC
  • Assist in employee review and assessment process
  • Assist in the recruitment of individuals
  • Actively participate in all management meetings; you will be joining a team of other business development individuals in this regard
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and/or operating the following project control processes on multiple projects: schedule management, issue management, risk management, status reporting, change control, budget/effort management
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the client organization
  • Experience with projects spanning the full systems development life cycle
  • A successful track record
  • Minimum direct report team size of three (3) not including PM position
  • A minimum of two (2) client references from your most recent projects are required

Desirable:

  • PMP Designation
  • Recent project management experience in the delivery solutions to either Public or Private sectors
  • Experience using recognized systems development life cycle methodologies (waterfall, agile/scrum)
  • Experience in requirements gathering
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience leading large projects in excess of one million dollars
  • Experience leading projects that deliver solutions across multiple technical environments and in complex settings
  • Experience using MS-Project or other project management tools (JIRA)
  • Experience with projects spanning multiple technical environments
  • Experience with projects having aggressive schedules
  • Experience with risk and quality management processes
  • Experience with modeling tools
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) projects

Degree designations (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Computing Science) and/or vendor technical certifications are desirable criteria for our selection.
